CEO and Coach Giuliano Santucci signs Professional Contract with Patriotas Boyaca FC
The GSS Sport family is extremely excited that CEO and coach Giuliano Santucci has signed his first professional contract with Patriotas Boyaca FC.
Patriotas Boyaca FC is a first division soccer team in Colombia that participates in the Liga Betplay DIMAYOR. Giuliano makes history by becoming the first American Goalkeeper to play in the Liga Betplay DIMAYOR!
Only eight months ago, Giuliano Santucci was in his backyard coaching talented kids from Westchester, New York. His days consisted of lots of hard work, waking up at 6:30am every morning to workout and then attend summer classes at 8am-12pm. His day with GSS Sport would start at 1pm with sessions booked from the week prior. Finally, at 9pm his last session would end and his mentality had to switch from coach to player in order to run and workout once again.
Giuliano dedicated lots of time to help the clients of GSS Sport improve so that one day they can reach there full potential to play professional soccer.
“I could always make time for myself to train, But I knew that during COVID19 my clients needed somebody to help them stay in shape and improve as soccer players!”
Giuliano kept working hard as coach for GSS Sport and as an individual with his Goalkeeper coach Fabio Hernandez.
“It was hard to switch my mentality from being a coach all day to focusing on myself and my career. But I managed to get used to it.”
In October an opportunity had opened for Giuliano to go on trial with Patriotas Boyaca FC. Without hesitation he took the risk to travel to Colombia on his own to follow his dreams.
During his time away the staff of GSS Sport that includes: Enzo Sangiacomo, John Dennis, Omar Tejeda, Aarón Mazzola, ran the sessions.

On January 12th 2021 after all the sacrifices and commitment, Giuliano was told he would sign his first professional contract.
Coach Giuliano Santucci will be moving to Colombia and playing for Patriotas Boyaca FC!
“I’m super excited to have signed my first contract and to set a great example for the kids and players of GSS Sport! Of course I miss training them but I know the coaches I have replacing me will do a great job to continue my legacy and help the kids reach their full potential!”
